PINEAPPLE HILL B&B INN
1324 River Road
New Hope, PA 18938

In the 1700s it was customary to place a pineapple on your front porch as a way of letting friends and neighbors know you were welcoming guests - we hope you'll always feel welcome at Pineapple Hill.

The Inn

Enjoy the charm of a beautifully restored, colonial manor house built in 1790. Set on almost 6 acres, this Bucks County bed-and-breakfast rests between New Hope's center and Washington Crossing Park.

The eighteen-inch walls and original woodwork at Pineapple Hill exemplify a craftsmanship long forgotten. On the grounds, the walls of a stone barn enclose a beautifully hand-tiled pool. The rose garden lies where the spring-house once stood. The ruins of the original summer kitchen surround an outdoor sitting area.

A scrumptious full breakfast is served in our common room each morning. On our harvest table you'll find homemade muffins, jam, hot and cold cereals and other goodies along with a selection of hot and cold beverages to choose from. Each morning a different hot entree is prepared, maybe French Toast, Eggs Benedict, quiche, or another treat, whatever dish the day brings it will be made each morning with fresh local ingredients and served at individual tables.

After breakfast the common room is available to use at your leisure... If you want to stay "connected" this room offers high-speed wireless access, or better yet, the common room provides a space to read a book, sip a sherry, or just curl up in front of the fireplace.

Pineapple Hill is far enough from the center of New Hope (4.5 miles) to provide a peaceful country setting, yet close enough to be a short car or bicycle ride.

Romantic and relaxing, you'll find a charming blend of comfort and convenience at Pineapple Hill.

The Rooms

Each of the guestrooms is individually decorated and furnished with locally obtained antiques, collectibles, and artwork. For your reading pleasure, all rooms are stocked with books and magazines.

Pineapple Hill has five rooms, three suites, and one apartment suite. All rooms have queen or king sized beds, air conditioning (seasonally,) gas-burning fireplaces, cable TV, telephones, and private baths. Suites are accompanied by separate living rooms, one with full kitchen too.

From fluffy towels to bedside wine-glasses we hope you'll find all that you want for a memorable stay.

The Area

Treasure hunting at the local shops, auctions and flea markets is readily available. There are also art galleries, theatre and specialty shops all nearby.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be thrilled with the hiking, biking and walking trails running along the Delaware River, a short walk from the inn. Along with the historical parks in the area, there is also tubing, rafting, canoeing, fishing and all the beauty and attraction that this river area provides.

Opportunities for enjoyment abound here in the heart of beautiful Bucks County...
